CHRISTMAS & ADVENT MARKETS AROUND ERL

There is hardly a more atmospheric preparation for Christmas and the turn of the year than spending time together at a Christmas market. Every year, we are happy when the first market stalls open and ring in Advent with punch, mulled wine and culinary delights. In the area around Erl, there are numerous opportunities to spend some time with loved ones at traditional Advent markets. We've put together a few recommendations here.

Christmas market in Kufstein

Every year, the old town and the fortress are transformed into contemplative locations and invite you to browse and relax. The atmosphere in the fortress city is particularly wonderful these days and not only makes the eyes of young visitors shine.

Christkindlmarkt am Thiersee

The beach in Vorderthiersee hosts a Christmas market with music, a sleigh ride, a children's program and various food stands from local associations.

Rattenberger Advent

A trip to Rattenberger Advent certainly pays off. The smallest town in Austria is very big, especially during the Advent season. Warm fireplaces, countless candles and torches and only very few market stalls await guests here. The Rattenberger Advent wine absolutely needs to be tasted and on Sundays, the knockers roam the medieval town.

St. Johanner Weihnachtsmarkt

It may take a little driving time to get to St. Johann, but it really pays off. Here, legend tellers and cookie baking courses await visitors of all ages. The focus here is on music, being together around the fire and culinary delights. An all-round cozy experience and a magical way to get in the mood for a quieter time of the year.

Innsbruck Mountain Christmas

We admit: Innsbruck is of course not part of the Erl area. But we would still like to recommend this Christmassy trip to and through the capital of Tyrol. Countless market stalls await you here, which, in addition to culinary delights, also offer punch and mulled wine in all variations. In addition, right next to the Christmas market, there is also the magical Lumagica light park in the Hofgarten, which is even open until the beginning of February.
