WEIN (H) UNGER — WINE TASTING & DINNER

On January 26, 2024, we were able to create an unforgettable evening together with young winemaker Andreas Unger. Our guests enjoyed a delicious 5-course dinner, accompanied by atmospheric live music from the band fuelwood. Andreas served the perfectly coordinated wine with each course — from fruity white wine to strong red wine, each selection harmonized perfectly with the individual dishes.

The Unger family
The Unger family cultivates traditional vineyards around Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland, which serve as the basis for their excellent wines. Here, on the sun-drenched south-east slopes, at cooler altitudes and on the warm soils of the Seewinkel, grapes ripen with a unique character. The special climate of this region in the far east of Austria ensures aromatic density, fine tannins and remarkable tension in every berry.

The Unger family's vineyards have been deeply rooted in the region for generations — and also with the family itself. Andreas Unger, a trained oenologist with international experience, has taken over the family business's cellar and developed his own successful wine line. His recipe for success? Passion, patience and respect for nature. For him, every harvest is a gift that he turns into outstanding wines with care, new ideas and a smile on his face.
