PANORAMIC PLEASURE

This tour offers wonderful views of the Chiemgau Alps and the Kaiser Mountains. The summit of the Kranzhorn in Erl marks the German-Austrian border and impresses with two summit crosses. The rustic Kranzhornalm also makes the hike a culinary pleasure.

The shortest climb starts with a journey via Erlerbergstraße to the designated parking lot. From there, a pleasant uphill hiking trail takes you to the Kranzhornalm in around an hour. Mountain bikers can use the official mountain bike route from Erl.

At Schutzhütte Kranzhorn, guests can expect Tyrolean home cooking, coffee and cake. A petting zoo and a playground provide variety for younger visitors.

From the hut, the trail climbs a bit steeper uphill to the two summit crosses in around ten minutes. There is a breathtaking view that rewards all the efforts of the climb.
